Description
One of the most famous moments of Operation Gothic Serpent in the Battle of Mogadishu was the actions of one Randall David Shughart. Made widely known by the 2001 Academy Award-winning film “Black Hawk Down.” Randy Shughart was a Delta Force operator who played a pivotal role in the Battle of Mogadishu and as a result, ultimately gave his life which earned him the Medal of Honor posthumously.
Randy Shughart was killed in the line of duty during a rescue attempt of crashed helicopter pilot Mike Durant. Operators like Randy Shughart paved the way for innovation, ultimately leading us to use a wide variety of accessories on firearms. Randy Shughart just like Gary Gordan was a pioneer and to pay homage to him, we have decided to release our own modern interpretation called the Shughart Rifle.
This TYPE-A Shughart Rifle is built on an accurate M14 platform allowing for exceptional reliability and accuracy. Built with proven mil-spec components to make it an incredibly versatile rifle. The Shughart Rifle is equipped with a 22″ Steel barrel with a 1:11″ twist rate. A Certess DLC coating is applied to the piston system, operating rod, and bolt. We also gave everything a high polish prior to coating to ensure the smoothest function possible. Every Shughart comes with an Aimpoint 9000 optic for an additional cost. The aluminum low-profile front rail is upgraded with a QD post and also has an upgraded Sadlak Airbourne M1A scope mount.
