Our all-new SRC & SPC2 Series of rifles focuses on three aspects; durability, reliability, and consistency.
We started with a foundation build on our billet ambi series but added our all-new Chrome-Lined, 5R, 4150V chrome moly vanadium barrel finished in a clean Mag Phos coating paired with a Adjustable Short Stroke Piston to provide simplicity.
Next, we wanted the shooter to have the ability to quickly remove the handguard for ease service, so we redesigned our handguard system to do just that. We extended the barrel nut system to provide anti-tilting features and to drive the handguard into the upper receiver with no indexing. We have several hundred hours of extensive testing in a custom vibratory system to simulate the vibration that a shooter will see over the life of this rifle.
Then we looked at the drivetrain of the firearm and coatings. We wanted to create a carrier with minimal leakage around the carrier key, so we spent the last several years working with key partners on anaerobics to do just that. We then wanted to re-evaluate our coatings on our carriers, but still keep the lubricity factor that we have always had. After a few months of R&D, we landed on a PVD process called, Chrome Nitride which has a low Friction Coefficient (dry against steel) and has a high service temperature range.
NOTE: All of our pistols are Hardcoat Anodized and then Cerakoted to give you a longer lasting more durable finish. We wanted your rifle to wear to the anodized finish vs. the raw aluminum surface. Just another added benefit making your rifle….TYPE-A.
Note: Any H-Series Cerakote can be sprayed. There is a $50 up-charge if the color is not in our stock.
