The story of the Gordon Carbine begins in the early 1990s, when U.S. Army Delta Force operators were adapting their equipment to meet the demands of increasingly complex missions. Among them was Master Sergeant Gary Gordon, a highly respected Delta Force operator whose carbine would later become one of the most recognizable rifles in military history.

The original Ops Inc collar system wasnt as reliable as modern equalivent but it was one of the first to ensure there was nearly zero chances of a baffle strike. There was a compact package with the suppressor allowing for a more modern system than what was being used in the era.

Before flat-top receivers became standard, optics were mounted using specialized carry-handle mounts, giving the rifle its unmistakable silhouette. While we recreate these systems today for the retro look, originally it was one of the only ways to incorporate optics onto the weapon systems without heavy modifications. Classic Furniture
Traditional CAR-15 stocks, A2 grips, and 7-hole clamshell handguards preserve the authentic appearance while providing the lightweight handling characteristics that defined carbines of the era. We often times go with the B5 furniture if we cannot find authentic time period items but if we have the original stocks grips and handguards we like to stay true to those items.
Suppressor Compatibility
The original rifles commonly utilized the Ops Inc suppressor system. Modern Allen Engineering suppressors continue that legacy, making them a popular choice for historically accurate builds. AE Suppressors are making a few different lengths and calibers as well allowing for the brand legacy to stay alive for both the Gordon/Delta Carbines as well as the MK12 rifle variants out there as well.
