The M16A2 rifle is a product improvement of the M16A1 rifle. Most notable improvements include a heavier barrel contour, redesigned handguard, stronger buttstock and grip, improved rear sights with windage, and modified upper for better ejection. The M16A2 was also redesigned with a burst fire control device that would limit the rounds per trigger pull, and an improved muzzle compensator to help with flash control and recoil.
This TYPE-A M16A2 is built on an accurate Long Rifle platform with proven mil-spec components, making it an incredibly versatile rifle. The M16A2 Rifle is equipped with a 20″ cold hammer forged barrel with a classic A2 style bird cage flash hider or other muzzles for an additional cost. Our M16A4 rifle is also equipped with an A2 Rifle Length Clamshell handguard & a fixed A2 stock. The TYPE-A M16A2 Rifle is driven by our TYPE-A QPQ bolt carrier group w/R.E.M Polish. Equipped with a DGI (direct gas impingement) system and our new TYPE-A PMC Straight 2-stage trigger to give it consistent reliability time after time.
NOTE: All of our rifles are Hardcoat Anodized and then Cerakoted to give you a longer, more durable finish. We wanted your rifle to wear to the anodized surface vs. the raw aluminum surface like some of our competitors. Just another added benefit of making our rifles…TYPE-A.
